Mohammed Asif Iqbal

Mr. Mohammed Asif Iqbal lost his eyesight at the age of sixteen years old due to a genetic disorder. Nevertheless, he did his primary and secondary education in the United States and became the first blind person to graduate in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta. Later, he also became the first visually impaired to be awarded PDGM (MBA, HR) certificate from Symbiosis Center for Management & Human resource Development and became the fifth visually impaired Indian citizen to be a certified MBA. He works with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Principal Consultant Manager since 2005 and was also a part of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), becoming the first visually-challenged person to work on this project.
